So while we’re here in Texas for the holidays we got the chance to do a shoot with some of our best friends on earth. We hate living so far from these guys but are so lucky to have friends like the Hawthornes.

Clint and Amanda have recently become cowboy boot wearers. Now if you’re not from Texas you may assume that everyone from Texas wears boots… actually not true at all. I have never owned a pair of boots. But to be honest, they may be close to convincing me to try some. All that to say… I had to get a shot of their boots.

These boys were awesome to shoot! They were so laid back. Unfortunately it was freezing outside so we weren’t able to spend time getting good outside shots, but we were able to get some good shots inside. Here are the images the parents picked for printing.

I always love the fun faces shot. I have learned it is a bad idea to ask for funny faces until you are ready to be done with the shoot…

I had the opportunity a few weeks ago to photograph a local DJ here in town. He was needing some new images for his website and print material. So I showed up early to a big show he was doing and got some setup shots and some awesome staged action shots. Yeah he felt pretty awkward… AudioSenery is a great company to use if you are looking for a DJ. I have worked with a ton of local DJ’s at weddings and other events and Mike from AudioSenery is great.
