Last night I had the opportunity to go shoot some portraits of David Potter for his upcoming CD release. I don’t really know David well. We’ve talk a number of times but we haven’t ever spent much time together. But one thing is clear when you met him, he’s not a rock star. He’s just not that kind of guy. So I wanted to be careful that I didn’t try and put him in a situation that didn’t connect with who he really is. We kept it laid back and organic. Here are some of my favorites.

  1. Whitney Lichtenberg says: How cool is this? David is the lead singer at our church! Great work Matt!

Just a random photo from a recent engagement session. As I was searching through the images pulling the “selects” I almost skipped right over this image… Because its out of focus right? But the more I looked at the more I was drawn to it. In the end I kept it because I like it and sometimes that a good enough reason for me.

  1. Kathy Smit says: You two took some great pictures, but I should have expected that, look at the genes you came from, right.

  2. Mom Kappenman says: You all looked great, and very happy!! Bo, you were a star! Love all 3 of you-
